Dr. Silverman, a highly respected rheumatologist, is currently serving as an attending physician at NYC Health+Hospitals/Bellevue in New York. His reputation and expertise in the field of rheumatology have been further solidified through his key academic appointments and educational background.

Throughout his academic career, he completed his fellowship in rheumatology at Scripps Clinic in 1987, where he honed his specialized skills in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases. Prior to his fellowship, he completed an internship at University Hospital-UC San Diego in 1982, followed by his residency in internal medicine at UC San Diego in 1984. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School – UMDNJ in 1981, laying the foundation for his distinguished career in medicine.

In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Silverman holds the prestigious Mamdouha S. Bobst Professor of Internal Medicine position in the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. This appointment reflects his deep commitment to advancing medical education and research within the field of internal medicine. He also serves as a Professor in the Department of Pathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
