Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Ana R. Tanase, who serves patients throughout the State of Arizona.

A knowledgeable pediatrician, Dr. Tanase is affiliated with TMCOne, seeing patients in the Tucson and Oro Valley areas. With a focus on holistic care, she offers a comprehensive approach to treating various medical conditions in children.

Combining conventional medical practices with integrative medicine consultations, she specializes in the management of allergies, asthma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), digestive disorders, insomnia & sleep disorders, and disorders of the metabolic system.

Originally from Romania, Dr. Tanase graduated with her medical degree from the Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacia Carol Davila in 2001. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in pediatrics at Monmouth Medical Center. She has continued her professional development through associations with esteemed organizations such as the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine and the Institute of Functional Medicine.

As part of her commitment to lifelong learning, she has undertaken extensive coursework through the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has completed courses such as Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice, Bioenergetics (formerly Energy) Advanced Practice Module, Environmental Health (formerly Detox) Advanced Practice Module, GI Advanced Practice Module, and Immune Advanced Practice Module.

Passionate about her profession, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

To boot, Dr. Tanase is board-certified by the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM), which was formed to provide physicians who practice Integrative Medicine the means to demonstrate that they have mastered the core competencies necessary to provide the best medical care possible.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
