Jonathan Penchas, DMD, renowned as Houston’s best-known cosmetic dentist and maxillofacial prosthodontic specialist, continues to make significant strides in dental care as a Partner and Clinical Director at Guardian Dental Partners. Dr. Penchas’s commitment to dental excellence extends beyond his practice. Born in Jerusalem, Dr. Penchas’s diverse educational journey has taken him across the globe. He has studied in prestigious institutions in London, Jerusalem, Boston, Louisiana, and Texas. He earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Hebrew University Faculty of Dental Medicine, graduating in the top 10% of his class and receiving the Student Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. His specialization in prosthodontics was completed at Louisiana State University, where he simultaneously earned a Master’s Degree in Education from The University of New Orleans.

Dr. Penchas also completed a fellowship in dental oncology and maxillofacial prosthetics at the esteemed M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. His academic contributions include serving as a clinical assistant professor of prosthodontics at the University of Texas from 1995 to 1996 and as a WREB dental program examiner from 2010 to 2012.

Dr. Penchas is a distinguished member of both the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. A prolific author, he published his first article in the Journal of Dentistry for Children during his senior year of dental school and has since continued to contribute to professional journals. He is also a sought-after speaker, sharing his expertise at seminars for dentists, technicians, and the public.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Penchas enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, exploring beekeeping, and scuba diving. His passion for quality care and education not only ensures that his patients receive the highest standard of treatment but also helps shape the next generation of dental professionals.
