  • How to treat swollen gums from dentures?

Thank you for your question. There can be several reasons for gum swelling or pain when patient have dentures. If the dentures have been just delivered as a new treatment, there will be a period of the oral soft tissues adjustment to the foreign body of the denture. Patience, perseverance and trips to the dental office for removing the uncomfortable spots on the denture's body are necessary. Allergy to the material of the denture is possible and can cause swelling. Your dentist should properly diagnose the reason of the swelling and treat it accordingly. Make sure you clean the denture and your mouth after each meal. READ MORE

  • Can pinhole gum surgery fix gum recession around the crown?

Thank you for your question. It all depends if it is a true recession, or root defect and if you gums are healthy or you have periodontal disease with bone loss.
