With a rich history in anesthesiology and pain management, Dr. Huang continues to set the standard for excellence in his field.

Dr. Huang embarked on his medical career at the prestigious Stanford University School of Medicine, where he earned his Medical Degree in 2000. His rigorous training includes a transitional internship at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (2000–2001) and a residency in anesthesiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (2001–2004). Dr. Huang further honed his skills through a fellowship in pain medicine at the same institution, completing his training in 2005.

With a comprehensive background in both anesthesiology and pain management, Dr. Huang has received specialized training in a variety of techniques essential for effective pain relief. His expertise encompasses pharmacological pain management with both opiates and non-opiates, as well as advanced procedures such as peripheral nerve blocks, epidural and transforaminal blocks, facet and sacroiliac joint blocks, lysis of epidural adhesions, intradiscal procedures, vertebroplasty, spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery, radiofrequency ablation, and chemoneurolysis. This extensive skill set allows Dr. Huang to effectively manage acute, chronic, and terminal pain conditions, including those associated with cancer.

Dr. Huang is board-certified in both pain medicine and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His leadership skills are evidenced by his tenure as the last Chief of Loudoun Anesthesia under North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) and his subsequent role as the first Chief under Inova following the transition in June 2023. 

As he continues to serve the community, Dr. Huang remains dedicated to providing compassionate care and innovative pain management solutions to his patients.
