In regards to his educational background, Dr. Chang received his Bachelor of Science degree in Cybernetics at UCLA in 1988, before graduating with his medical degree and completing his residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Texas, San Antonio School of Medicine in 1992 and 1996, respectively. Later, he completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology & infertility at Columbia University in 1998.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility & obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
With a focus on providing compassionate and innovative care, he has been an Assistant Professor at several prestigious academic institutions, including Columbia University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and currently maintains that same position at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

He is a prolific author and has written more than 70 published journal articles, abstracts, and textbook chapters, in addition to receiving numerous research grants and publication awards.
Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to the reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males after the reproductive years.
Despite his many accomplishments, Dr. Chang remains humble and committed to improving the lives of his patients through compassionate and innovative care.
