Fusing Three Decades of Medical Expertise with a Commitment to Enhancing the Well-Being of Patients and Their Families

Originally from Cuba, Dr. Reinaldo Hernandez Loy graduated with his Medical Degree from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médica ISCM- Villa Clara in 1991. His journey in medicine has taken him to Chile, where he practiced family medicine for eight years, gaining invaluable experience and insights into diverse healthcare practices. After completing his family medicine training in the United States, Dr. Loy established his own practice, Legacy MD, in Miami, Florida alongside offering services at Sanitas Medical Center as a board certified family physician. 

Dr. Loy chose to pursue a career in medicine driven by his deep passion for enhancing the quality of life for his patients and their families. He values building strong, personal relationships with those he treats, dedicating time to understand their needs, educate them, and closely monitor their health progress. Nothing brings him greater satisfaction than making a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients.

At Legacy MD, Dr. Loy aims to create a welcoming environment where patients feel relaxed, comfortable, and safe. His approach to patient care is rooted in compassion and dedication, and he is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those he treats. Dr. Loy’s three-decade long journey has not been without challenges; however, his resilience and determination have fueled his success. He became the first physician in his family and remains grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Loy values quality time with family and friends. He enjoys staying active, and swimming is his preferred form of exercise, providing a full-body workout while offering a sense of relaxation.
