Striving to Provide the Highest Quality of Care

An esteemed physician and researcher, Dr. Nguyen is affiliated with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, serving as the Clinical Medical Director of the Main Center in the Department of Radiation Oncology in Houston, Texas. In addition to this pivotal role, she is the Medical Director of AskMD Anderson and a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, where she will continue to drive innovation and excellence in patient care.

Academically, she earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and a Master in Healthcare Management (MHCM) from the Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine.

Her postgraduate training includes a prestigious Proton Radiotherapy and Stereotactic Radiosurgery Fellowship at MD Anderson, as well as a Clinical Residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Virginia. Her comprehensive training has equipped her with advanced skills in cutting-edge radiation technologies, particularly stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for various cancer types, including prostate, pulmonary, liver, adrenal, and osseous metastases.

In her role at MD Anderson, Dr. Nguyen focuses on integrating technology and value-based outcomes into her clinical research. Her work aims to address critical clinical questions that enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes. She is also deeply involved in particle therapy research, diligently reporting the long-term outcomes for patients treated with proton therapy for thoracic and base of skull tumors.

Her vision for the future includes the initiation of prospective clinical trials that leverage advanced technology to further enhance patient outcomes. Her leadership and dedication to patient-centered care position her as a vital asset to MD Anderson's mission of eliminating cancer.
