Get to know Hospitalist Dr. Alyn Casal-Fernandez, who serves patients in San Antonio, Texas.

A highly trained hospitalist, Dr. Casal-Fernandez is uniquely qualified to deliver the best possible outcomes to chronically ill patients. Since January 2017, she has served as the CEO of Advinity, LLC, located in San Antonio, Texas.

Employing a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach, Dr. Casal-Fernandez provides intensive geriatric and adult care, effectively managing the most complex cases within a plan or group. She oversees patient management, ensuring seamless collaboration among providers, care coordinators, transitional care staff, primary care physicians, specialists, social workers, and case/disease managers.

A pioneer in Population Health Management, Advinity, LLC is dedicated to delivering high-quality, high-value, concierge-level care with compassion, particularly during patients’ most vulnerable times. The organization emphasizes building open and honest relationships through proper communication and coordination while maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement in care quality.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Casal-Fernandez graduated with her Medical Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) School of Medicine in 2005. Subsequently, she pursued her internship at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System from 2010 to 2011, followed by residency training in public health and general preventive medicine with the Florida Department of Health Palm Beach County from 2011 to 2013.

With licensure to practice medicine in both Texas and Florida, Dr. Casal-Fernandez demonstrates a commitment to serving patients across multiple states.
