Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Daniel E. Crook, who served patients in Monroe, Louisiana.

Specializing in emergency medicine, Dr. Crook is prepared to treat patients suffering from a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries or conditions. For over four decades, starting from 1981, he tended to patients at his private practice in Monroe, Louisiana. 

A 1981 graduate of the  Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Dr. Crook went on to complete his internship at Confederate Memorial Medical Center a year later, in 1982. 

A Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, he is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional, and examination standards.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. A pediatric emergency physician is a specialist in the care of children and teens who are acutely ill or injured. They are trained to care for a wide range of problems that require immediate medical help. These problems are often serious and may be life-threatening.
