Get to know Family Physician Dr. Katherine Hall, who serves patients in Athens, Tennessee.

Dr. Hall is a board-certified family physician who specializes in caring for people of all ages, at all stages of life. She is affiliated with Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tennessee. 

With campuses in Athens and Etowah, Starr Regional is the comprehensive medical center serving East Tennessee. The Athens campus provides inpatient and outpatient services through its 118-bed acute care facility and physician practices. The Etowah campus is home to an emergency department, outpatient services, an 88-bed skilled and long-term care nursing home, a senior care program and wound care center. At the start of her academic career, Dr. Hall graduated with her medical degree, with honors, from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in 2012. Pursuing her training, she completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville in 2015.

With an unwavering commitment to her speciality, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Hall is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association.

Katherine R. Hall (Ray), MD, is a 2012-graduate of the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in Portland, OR. Her postgraduate training includes her family medicine residency served at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville in Knoxville, TN (2012-2015). During her residency training, she worked as physician with University Physician Associates (2014-2015) and served as Resident Director of Board for the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians (2013-2014). Dr. Hall completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies at The Ohio State University in 2003. She attained board certification in family medicine with the American Board of Family Medicine.
