Abdul Majid Khan, M.D. is a practicing Psychiatrist who was born and raised in Southeast Louisiana.  He completed his Psychiatric training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and Ochsner Medical Center, having started at Charity Hospital before Katrina.  He has served as Medical Director of several Acute Inpatient Psychiatric facilities, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs in the private sector.  He has been on faculty as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry with the LSU Department of Psychiatry in New Orleans and on staff, in the past, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.  He has also served as Behavioral Health Medical Director with a Bayou Health Plan to assist with their transition in providing Mental Health to their members.  He is currently the Medical Director of Regions Behavioral Hospital and Elemental Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dr. Khan provides empathetic care using medication and psychotherapy to treat conditions such as: ADHD/ ADD, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, and substance abuse. He welcomes adults who are seeking more than the usual 15 minute medication sessions.
