In regards to his educational background, Dr. Boyd received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas Southern University in Houston and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. He then went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology from the University of Texas, Houston.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics & gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

In addition to his work at the clinic, he can be found on staff at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Alice, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg, and CHRISTUS The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.
