Fuerstman was the director of the Wound Center at West Hudson Hospital, Kearny, New Jersey, from 2002 to 2011, where he treated patients with foot and leg ulcers as complications from diabetes, poor circulation, venous insufficiency, and wounds secondary to trauma, as well as surgical wounds that were compromised in healing.
Upon the completion of his undergraduate studies at Albright College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Fuerstman went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from Temple University.
Demonstrating his commitment to the field, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, which strives to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of foot and ankle surgery.
