Specializing in emergency medicine, Dr. Marquez is prepared to treat patients suffering from a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries or conditions. 

Licensed to practice medicine in Texas, he is affiliated with Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital, and Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Marquez graduated with his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2006. He then went on to perform his residency in emergency medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey in 2009.

Following his education, he attained board certification in emergency medicine through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional, and examination standards.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. A pediatric emergency physician is a specialist in the care of children and teens who are acutely ill or injured. They are trained to care for a wide range of problems that require immediate medical help. These problems are often serious and may be life-threatening.
