Being a reputable obstetrician-gynecologist and fertility specialist, Dr. Ahlering has been assisting patients in making their dreams come true through a wide range of personalized fertility treatments for more than twenty years. He serves as the Medical Director of MCRM Fertility with offices in Chesterfield and Springfield, Missouri & Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 1988, Dr. Ahlering went on to complete his residency at St. John’s Mercy Hospital. There, he served as Chief Resident of Operative Laparoscopy and Reproductive Medicine.

Growing up following his father’s and two older brother’s footsteps by becoming an obstetrician,  he was emotionally impacted every time a patient suffered a pregnancy loss while a young physician. As a result, Dr. Ahlering became determined to find ways to assist these patients to have the families of their dreams. This led him to specialize in reproductive care, taking a special interest in helping patients inflicted with recurrent pregnancy loss, male factor infertility, and diminished ovarian reserve.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

Reproductive endocrinology and infertility is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction as well as the issue of infertility. Fertility specialists focus on diagnosing and treating male and female infertility.

Recognized multiple times as the “Best Fertility Physician”, Dr. Ahlering has been a contributor to multiple scientific research studies/literature and to TLC’s “A Conception Story”. He also acted as the Consultant Editor for “Practical Guide to High Risk Pregnancy and Delivery” – 2nd Edition.
