Dr. Luc M. Oke, MD, PhD, is a board certified cardiologist and an internationally recognized expert in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, specializing in catheter ablations, atrial fibrillation, syncope, and arrhythmia management. He is the Medical Director of Heart Consultants in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Specializing in the management of patients with electrophysiological and arrhythmia disorders related to various heart conditions, Dr. Oke’s expertise extends to complex cardiac ablation procedures for a wide range of arrhythmias, including supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and premature ventricular contractions. His dedication to delivering comprehensive care for ventricular arrhythmias and his involvement in clinical research trials showcase his passion for advancing the field of cardiology.

As the Chief of Cardiology at the Not-For-Profit Hospital Corporation in Washington, D.C., Dr. Oke continues to impact the lives of countless patients through his compassionate care and cutting-edge treatments. His expertise has also led him to hold prestigious positions at Howard University Hospital, John Hopkins Suburban Hospital, and Holy Cross Hospital. 

A native of Benin, West Africa, Dr. Oke attended the National University of Benin College of Medical Sciences, where he earned his Medical Degree. His training included residencies in cardiology and internal medicine at reputable institutions such as the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Trousseau et Affiliés in Paris, France, and Howard University. He further honed his skills through fellowships at the University of Arkansas, Temple University Hospital, and Howard University Hospital, focusing on the areas of cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology.

Upholding the highest standards of patient care and clinical expertise, Dr. Oke is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, he is board certified in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

Serving as the Executive Director of the American Center for Investigative Cardiology, Dr. Oke is dedicated to training and mentoring medical students in the field of cardiac medicine, in addition to researching and investigating new and innovative treatments in the field of cardiology. His contributions to medical literature and his role as a sought-after lecturer on cutting-edge topics, including advances in catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia and non-arrhythmic ablation for treating cardiovascular disease, underscore his commitment to sharing knowledge and driving innovation in the field.
