Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Roberto M. Rey, who serves patients in Raymondville, Texas.

A trusted pediatrician, Dr. Rey works with children of all ages at Raymondville Pediatrics, which he established in 2005. He specializes in general pediatrics and adolescent medicine, and treats conditions such as pneumonia, meningitis, epilepsy, autism and appendicitis, among others.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, he is affiliated with various medical venues throughout the state of Texas, including Valley Baptist Medical Center, Knapp Medical Center, and McAllen Medical Center.

Academically, Dr. Rey earned his medical degree from the National University of Tucuman Faculty of Medicine in 1993. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in 1999.

A member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
