Get to know Internist Dr. Stephan Burgeson, who serves patients in St. Paul, Minnesota.

A Minnesota-based internist, Dr. Burgeson sees patients at his private practice – Your Doctor – located in St. Paul.

“I feel so very fortunate to continue loving the practice of internal medicine and what I can do for patients. It is what keeps me energized, fulfilled, and rewarded in this style of practice where I get to do what is right for each patient” expressed the doctor.

Growing up outside of Chicago, Dr. Burgeson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in Minnesota at Carleton College. He graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, before coming back to Minnesota to complete his residency in internal medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center. Falling in love with the area, he stayed in the Twin Cities and has been in practice in the East Metro since 1992.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
