Get to know Family Physician Dr. Daniela Kassabov, who serves patients in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

A board-certified family physician, Dr. Kassabov is in practice at MAXhealth - Lakewood Ranch. Her areas of clinical interest include evidence-based medicine, preventative medicine, geriatric medicine, aging and mental health, women’s health, sports medicine, and ultrasound guided joint injections.

A native of Bulgaria, Dr. Kassabov graduated with her medical degree from the Medical University of Sofia in 1997. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in family medicine at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program.

Passionate about her profession, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

On a more personal note, she enjoys spending her free time with family, friends and her miniature schnauzer Lexi. She also likes traveling, reading, listening to music, dancing, yoga, and sports. She is fluent in both English and Bulgarian.
