Lon Polverari, DMD, is a highly experienced and respected dentist who has been in practice for more than three decades.

Reliable Dental Care, owned by Dr. Polverari has been serving patients from young children to senior citizens in the Greater Waterbury area since 2013. Reliable Dental was voted the best dental clinic in greater Waterbury for three consecutive years by the Waterbury Observer.

Dr. Polverari brings more than 30 years of experience to his work. In addition to his state of the art dentistry, he clearly excels at helping patients overcome their dental fear to promote access to essential treatments.

Dr. Polverari attended the University of Connecticut where he received his BA in Biology. His distinguished career in dentistry began in 1987 when he gained his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree with honors from the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. The Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine is the dental school at Boston University. Its curriculum is noted for the Applied Professional Experience Program, which provides the highest level of hands on experience at a dental practice as part of clinical training.

He completed his residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, NY.  After graduating, he completed advanced training in a number of areas while working as a dentist, and holds additional certification in Implant Dentistry. This certification symbolizes a high level of competence in the speciality. Dr. Polverari demonstrates knowledge, ability, and proficiency and expertise in dental implants.  

Dr. Polverari is a member of several professional organization including the Connecticut State Dental Association and the American Dental Association which allows him to remain at the forefront of his challenging field.

He is renowned for his philanthropic spirit and has provided free dental care at the Costa Rica Rain Forest Dental Clinic and for the Mission of Mercy charity.

In his off hours, he enjoy spending time with his family and his dog as well as woodworking.

Lon M. Polverari, DMD, is a 1987-honors graduate of the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was awarded his Dental Medicine Doctor degree. His postgraduate training includes his general practice residency served at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, New York (1987-1988). His most recent accomplishment was earning his certification in Implant Dentistry. Dr. Polverari completed his undergraduate education, i.e. his Bachelor of Arts degree, at the University of Connecticut in 1982. He is a member of several professional societies and associations, such as the Connecticut State Dental Association and the American Dental Association which allows him to remain at the forefront of his challenging field.
