Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Kristy Scheiring, who serves patients throughout the State of Pennsylvania.

A Pennsylvania-based cardiologist, Dr. Scheiring works with patients at Doylestown Health Cardiology in Doylestown and Warrington. She specializes in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.

Doylestown Health Cardiology offers compassionate, responsive heart care using state-of-the-art technology, and provides patient education in a professional, attentive environment. It includes experienced, board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and professional staff who work as a team to meet the needs of each individual patient.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Scheiring earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg and her residency at Temple University Hospital, where she also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease.

Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
