The best treatment for heel pain is a stretching exercise. Whether your heel pain is achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis. When doing the stretching I recommend 2 sets of 10 twice a day. What is the treatment for a torn ankle ligament?
It depends on the severity of the tear. Some tears can heal on their own. Some require surgery. It also depends on the age of the patient. Older patients typically have the ankle immobilized until the swelling goes down. Then they can rehab the ankle to get strength back in the ankle. But they will typically always have some laxity to the ankle. Younger patients and athletes sometimes have surgery to repair the ligament. What to do about a broken toenail?
I would recommend trimming all the nails that isn't still attached. The loose nail can get caught in a sock and be torn off. I would apply Neosporin cream and a bandaid as well. If the toe is still red, it is possible you may have an infection. It's also possible the toe may be broken. It takes 6 months to a year for a new nail to regrow. The nail should grow back. It should grow back normally, but it is possible the nail regrows differently than before or doesn't grow back at all. It is possible you are developing a Tailor's bunion. I would first recommend wearing wider shoes. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatories can help as well, such as Aleve or Ibuprofen. Before starting any over-the-counter medications talk with your parents about taking the medication. Do not take over-the-counter medication longer than a week. If you get wider shoes and take the over-the-counter anti-inflammatories for a week and you are still having discomfort. Then I would recommend consulting your local podiatrist. READ MORE
