Get to know Behavior Analyst, Maria Gomez, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

A board-certified behavior analyst, Maria is the Founder and Clinical Director of The Learning Spot (TLS) Consulting Services, with offices in Prosper and McKinney, Texas. She founded the practice with the vision of creating an environment that fosters acceptance, respect, understanding, teamwork, and love for learning.

At TLS, they believe in a holistic approach and understand the importance of working alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive approach to offer the best care possible to those families in need. They collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, physical therapists, counselors, educators, and other professionals to provide a more effective and cohesive intervention that will enhance all areas of development.

Graduating with her Associate’s Degree from Collins College, Maria went on to further her training by obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development from Texas Woman’s University, before receiving her Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of North Texas.

With over 15 years of experience in the field of child development and learning disabilities, she believes in the uniqueness of each individual and their ability to learn skills that can help them become more independent. She specializes in parent coaching, initial therapist training, implementing behavior analytic programs designed by other BCBAs, and developing behavior intervention plans for school districts and in-home services.
