Dr. Blechman earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1989. He then went on to complete his residency and internship at Bellevue Hospital Center. 

Dr. Blechman is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Blechman is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. OB-GYNs, like Dr. Blechman, specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women.
