Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Siva K. Bhashyam, who serves patients in Winter Haven, Florida.

Dr. Bhashyam is an accomplished cardiologist who is trained to provide complete treatment for the heart and cardiovascular system. He is in practice with Mid Florida Cardiovascular Center, LLC in Winter Haven, Florida.

In his current capacity, the doctor is also affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in his local area, including AdventHealth Lake Wales, AdventHealth Heart of Florida, Bartow Regional Medical Center, and Winter Haven Hospital.

After graduating with his medical degree from JSS Medical College in India, Dr. Bhashyam relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he completed his internship in internal medicine at Jamaica Hospital. This was followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Allegheny General Hospital – Western Pennsylvania Hospital.

Licensed to practice medicine in Florida and Pennsylvania, he is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
