Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Elton R. Kerr, who serves patients in Kennewick, Washington.

A seasoned obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Kerr sees patients at his private practice in Kennewick, and serves as a Locum Tenens physician at smaller hospitals throughout the State of Washington.

Graduating with his medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1976, he went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville in 1980.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Achieving fellowship status, Dr. Kerr is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM), and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Kerr has been the recipient of the Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2010.
