Educated in the United States, Dr. Blake earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1988, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in 1992. 

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Additionally, he obtained his  sub-speciality board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS or Urogynecology) in 2014. His commitment to excellence is further exemplified by his attainment of the Focused Practice Designation in Minimally Invasive Surgery from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
