Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Johnny J. Peet, who serves patients in The Woodlands, Texas.

Dr. Peet, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, has a special interest in combining laser technology, platelet rich-plasma therapy, and hormone optimization to improve sexual function and health. He is the Founder of Woodlands Medical Aesthetics Institute in The Woodlands, Texas, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Under his direction, the Institute treats primarily women of all ages: from teenagers to women in their 80s. Before the start of his medical career, Dr. Peet obtained his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1992 and his medical degree from The Texas A&M Health Science Center in 1996. From there, he went on to complete his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple in 1997 and 2000, respectively. 

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Montgomery County Medical Society, the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Furthermore, he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. 

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

Among his numerous accolades, Dr. Peet has been the recipient of the Organon, Inc. Resident Research Award for Outstanding Research in Women’s Health (1999), the Patricia J. Sulak Award for Excellence in Resident Research – Best Paper – 12th Annual Resident Research Day (1999), the Special Service Award by Scott & White Abstinence Based Sex Education Program (2000), and the BioTe Practitioner of the Year Award (2017), among others.
