Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Theodore L. Goldman, who serves patients in Commack and Huntington, New York

Dr. Goldman is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who welcomes patients at the Commack and Huntington, NY, locations of Northwell Health Physician Partners Obstetrics and Gynecology. He additionally holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at the prestigious Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Hempstead, New York, a role he embraced in 2011.

Dr. Goldman maintains hospital affiliations with Glen Cove Hospital, Huntington Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, South Shore University Hospital, and Katz Institute for Women’s Health.

According to the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), Dr. Goldman, who serves as chief of surgical gynecology and co-director of minimally invasive surgery at Northwell Health, has been named a SRC Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery. Highly recommended by his patients for his compassion, expertise, thoroughness, and patience, Dr. Goldman is also an SRC Master Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. 

Dr. Goldman attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1985. He remained at SUNY and acquired his medical degree in 1989 from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. Dr. Goldman continued his educational journey with a residency in obstetrics and gynecology conducted at the same teaching venue (1989-1993).

The doctor became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health. 

Dr. Goldman is licensed to practice in Florida and Illinois. He also attained the coveted titles of Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a professional member of the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgeons, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
