A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Malik has run the Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School Psychiatry Program Director at Trinitas Regional Medical Center since January 2018. 

Among his other roles at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, he has served as the Medical Director of Psychiatric Consultation Services since 2013, and as the Medical Director of Substance Abuse Services since 2017.

Earning his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in 2007, it is there that Dr. Malik gained a strong foundation in medical knowledge and clinical practice. He continued his education and training in psychiatry at Richmond University Medical Center, where he developed advanced skills in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions.

Board-certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine, he is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology & the American Board of Preventive Medicine.

Licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey, Dr. Malik is affiliated with RWJUH Somerset and Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

Teaching students, he was appointed Associate Professor at the Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences Graduate Medical Education in 2015 and is currently at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.
