A caring pediatrician, Dr. Ajayi committed his pediatric knowledge, compassion, and desire to help meet the needs of the Hinesville community by opening Phillips Pediatrics, P.C. in February of 2002. He believes in his holistic approach to pediatric medicine and lives by the philosophy “We care, God heals.”
Taking care of children of all ages, from newborn to adolescence, Phillips Pediatrics, P.C. is committed to providing the best possible care. The health and well-being of each child is their greatest concern.

Born in Lagos Nigeria, West Africa, Dr. Ajayi attended the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos. He then relocated to the United States, completing his residency in pediatrics at New York–Presbyterian Hospital. In November of 2001, he moved to the Liberty County, Georgia region because of his desire to assist, educate, promote and provide additional support to the existing pediatric medical care in the area. He began laying his pediatric foundation while working at Liberty Regional Medical Center.
In addition to seeing patients at Phillips Pediatrics, P.C., he is the Co-Founder of PedsNow, Southeast Georgia’s first urgent care clinic specifically for kids and young adults. The clinic aims to fill the gap between primary care and the emergency room by providing an affordable and convenient option for immediate pediatric care. Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
As a testament to his success, Dr. Ajayi received the 2018 “Senator Glenn Bryant Award” for his unwavering Community Service from the Liberty County Democratic Party, and was also named Liberty County’s “Best Pediatrician” in 2019.
