Dr. Paull is the leading dermatologist at the Center For Dermatology & Laser Skin Surgery in Edison, New Jersey. He specializes in treating a wide range of cosmetic and medical skin conditions, helping to improve how patients look, feel, and live.
Since he began his practice, Dr. Paull has been actively involved in educating medical students, medical residents, physician assistant students, and nurse practitioner students in the field of dermatology. For over two decades, he has been instrumental in providing the core Dermatology curriculum to the Physician Assistant Program at Rutgers.
With a solid educational background, Dr. Paull received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Rutgers College, did graduate work in Biochemistry at Rutgers University, and did research in Biochemical Genetics prior to attending medical school. He graduated from Rutgers Medical School in 1983 and completed a full residency in internal medicine at Overlook Hospital, which was then affiliated with Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons. During this period, he also served as an acting instructor at Columbia P&S.
Thereafter, he pursued a fellowship in dermatology at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1989.
Actively engaged in the Dermatological Society of New Jersey, Dr. Paull holds a position on the Board of Directors and serves as the Legislative Chairperson for the Society. His involvement extends to the national level, where he collaborates with members of Congress as part of the American Academy of Dermatology in Washington, D.C., facilitating the dissemination of important information to New Jersey members concerning their constituents.
Furthermore, Dr. Paull has been closely associated with laser technology since its early stages. His contributions to the field include collaborating with laser companies to develop equipment and instructing fellow physicians on advanced techniques with lasers. Notably, he played a key role in establishing the Skin Laser Center at Overlook Medical Center.
Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, the largest organ of the body; a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.
In his spare time, Dr. Paull enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, is an avid fly fisherman, and does classical music recording for a number of orchestras and performance groups in the Tri-State area.
