A native of Iran, Dr. Sam earned his medical degree from the Iran University of Medical Sciences in 1998, and completed his Master of Science degree in Medical Informatics at the City University of London in 2004. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital, and his fellowship in pulmonary disease & critical care medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. 

An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care.
