Dr. Winner is the Director of Palm Beach Headache Center & the Director of Premiere Research Institute at Palm Beach Neurology in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he also serves as an attending neurologist.

Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Winner serves as a Clinical Professor of Neurology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Among the doctor’s professional affiliations, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the American Headache Society). He is also active in the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the Florida Medical Association, and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. He is President of the Florida Association for the Study of Headache and Neurologic Disorders and is the Editor on Headache Update.
Back in 1981, Dr. Winner earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. Upon graduation, he went on to complete his residencies in pediatrics and neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. He was a Neuromuscular Fellow in the Department of Neurology at Cornell University Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He was also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Montefiore Headache Center in New York and completed a mini-fellowship in epilepsy at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine.
Following his education, he became board-certified in neurology, with a special qualification in child neurology, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, which is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
An active presenter, educator to the medical community and the general public, and author on the topics of headache and neurological disorders, Dr. Winner has received major media attention and has participated as an investigator and principal investigator in numerous clinical studies. He is the author of “7 Steps to a Healthy Brain”, which assists readers to both capitalize on an opportunity to maintain a healthy brain and to help prevent many of the neurological disorders that affect us as we age.
