Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Annette E. Pietri-Ramirez, who serves patients in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Noted for her expertise in pediatrics, Dr. Pietri-Ramirez works with children but also works with their parents, helping them in the child-raising process. She has been in practice with Med Centro® / Consejo de Salud de PR, Inc. in Ponce, Puerto Rico since November of 2014.

The pediatric clinics of Med Centro® are staffed by pediatric physicians, graduate nurses, and practical nurses. Patients are treated in their infant, child, and adolescent period. Pediatricians have the privilege of hospitalization, which follows up children and adolescents hospitalized in hospitals in the Ponce region. 

Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Pietri-Ramirez graduated with her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine & Health Sciences in 2008. She then went on to serve her residency in pediatrics at Hospital Episcopal San Lucas in 2011. From November of 2011 until October of 2014, she served on staff at Grupo Intensivo Pediatrico in San Juan.

Demonstrating clinical excellence while delivering the highest standards of patient care, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP exists to support and encourage the best possible health care for children by setting standards for medical training, assessing levels of competence, and encouraging pediatricians to stay up to date with medical knowledge and best practices.

Attributing her success to family support, Dr. Pietri-Ramirez feels that her environment helps her to grow. She loves interacting with her patients and strives to make a positive impact in their lives. 

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Pietri-Ramirez provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. She is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
