Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Jamie Grubey, who serves patients in Greenville, North Carolina.

Dr. Grubey is a board-certified otolaryngologist whose mission is to provide compassionate and comprehensive head and neck cancer care. At present, she can be found on staff at Eastern Carolina ENT, Head and Neck Surgery in Greenville, North Carolina. 

Eastern Carolina ENT, Head and Neck Surgery is dedicated to rendering quality, effective, and state-of-the-art care to all people who seek its services. The staff strives to assure that appropriate and optimal facilities and healthcare personnel are available to provide ENT and Head and Neck care.

Professionally, the doctor is also affiliated with Vidant Medical Center, Vidant SurgiCenter, and Vidant Cancer Care at the Eddie and Jo Allison Smith Tower in Greenville. Her specialty clinical interests and procedures include upper aerodigestive tract cancers, surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid disorders (including in-office fine needle aspiration), transoral robotic surgery, microvascular free tissue transfers, and surgical management of skin cancer and melanoma.

A Michigan native, Dr. Grubey earned her medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2011. She then went on to complete both her internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 2012 and 2016, respectively. This was followed by a fellowship in head and neck oncology & microvascular reconstruction at Washington University in 2017.

Following her education, she became board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer. 

In her spare time, Dr. Grubey enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring new places with her family.
