Offering the expertise and support each patient needs, Dr. Vilvar is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
Furthermore, he is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
In order to increase community awareness about the impact of mental health disorders in Northeast Florida, Dr. Vilvar is involved in several local, social and spiritual organizations.
