His prior appointments included Parkland Memorial Hospital, Texas Health Arlington Memorial (where he served as Trauma Director from 2009 – 2011), USMD Surgical Center Arlington, CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center – Longview, CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center – Marshall, and St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital – Bryan (where he served as Assistant Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine from 2006 – 2007).
With a broad educational background, Dr. Gupta graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1996. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2001.
Furthering his training, he performed his internship within the Department of Surgery St. John Hospital and Medical Center in 2002. Subsequently, he completed his residency within the Department of Emergency Medicine at the said establishment, where he served as chief resident from 2004 until 2005.
Teaching medical students, Dr. Gupta served as an Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine Preceptor, and Medical Student Preceptor at Texas A&M School of Medicine (2005 – 2007), and as an Emergency Medicine Resident Preceptor within the Department of Emergency Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport (2007 – 2009).
Among the doctor’s various certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, Advanced Trauma Life Support Provider, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider.
Board-certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Gupta is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional, and examination standards.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP), he is an active member of the Texas Medical Association and the Tarrant County Medical Association.
