Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Rajiv Kumar, who serves patients in Agoura Hills, California.

Dr. Kumar is a licensed psychiatrist specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Since 1985, he has been seeing patients at his private practice in Agoura Hills, California.

Back in 1979, Dr. Kumar graduated with his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in India. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1985.

With over 25 years of medical experience, he has worked in numerous hospitals and health care facilities as a resident psychiatrist and medical director. He has also been in private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona & Seattle, Washington. 

An expert in his field, Dr. Kumar has been contracted to speak at conferences and meetings for various top pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Shire, Pfizer, and others.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
