With over two decades of dedicated experience in managing traumatic injuries and caring for critically ill patients, Dr. Clancy embodies the hospital’s commitment to providing exceptional trauma care and surgical services to the community.
Dr. Clancy’s extensive medical journey began at Wheaton College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry (1981-1985). He then pursued a Doctor of Medicine Degree at Creighton University School of Medicine (1988-1992), where he was honored with induction into the prestigious Alpha Sigma Nu and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies. Following medical school, Dr. Clancy completed a General Surgery Residency Program at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine (1992-1998) before further specializing in surgical critical care during a fellowship at Jackson Memorial Medical Center through the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (1998-1999).
Recognizing the importance of merging clinical expertise with administrative acumen, Dr. Clancy expanded his educational portfolio by earning a Master of Business Administration Degree focused on Health Care Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas (2011). This unique combination of medical and business knowledge equips him to lead trauma care initiatives effectively and enhance patient outcomes at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital.
Dr. Clancy is board-certified in both surgery and surgical critical care, recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.
