Is it good to crack your back?
Great question. It depends. Cavitation of joints (the crack) is a nature phenomenon which can occur in all joints. It occurs when energy transferred into a joint release gas in the joints lubricating fluid. If you are doing a simple stretch or a naturally occurring motion, the “crack” is perfectly fine. If you are twisting your body or neck fast or torquing you head and neck, it my not be the best thing for your body. Many patients will fell the need to constantly “crack” their neck or low back to gain a sense of relief. It usually is an indication of spinal misalignment which should be addressed by a chiropractor. I hope this answers your question. READ MORE

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
On a more personal note, Dr. Addona resides in Cranford, New Jersey with his wife. He is a proud father, father-in-law, and grandfather. When he is not in the office, one can find him playing golf, trying new restaurants, drinking wine, traveling, and cheering on his favorite football team, the New York Giants.
