Get to know Family Physician Dr. Yvonne Rivera-Cruz, who serves patients in Kissimmee, Florida.

With a focus on total wellness, Dr. Rivera-Cruz is a board-certified family physician who specializes in comprehensive health care for patients of all ages. She is in practice with the Family Physicians Group in Kissimmee, Florida.

Since 1987, Family Physicians Group has served the Orlando area and Central Florida with comprehensive, preventative, and proactive health care services. The medical community was founded as a practice that includes the patient and their family, as well as a primary care physician, hospitalist, case manager, and social worker. This extensive support system allows the staff to create a personalized care plan that focuses on each patient’s lifestyle and unique medical needs.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in family medicine at the University of Puerto Rico, after which she relocated to the United States to embark on her professional journey. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
