Get to know Internist Dr. Amardeep S. Majhail, who serves patients in Surprise, Arizona.

Having been practicing in the Sun City area since 1997, Dr. Majhail is the Prime Care Hospice Medical Director of Grand Medical Associates. He specializes in preventive medicine and geriatrics, dealing with issues such as osteoporosis, cholesterol management, cancer detection, hypertension, diabetes, heart attack, and stroke prevention.

Located in Surprise, Arizona, Grand Medical Associates offers primary care for adults and specializes in geriatrics. It serves the rapidly growing northwest valley, providing a wide range of acute, chronic and preventive services. With special emphasis on patient centered care and patient education, the practice strives to deliver exceptional personalized care. In addition to everyday health challenges, patients can count on the providers for disease management, routine checkups, immunizations, oversight of chronic illness as well as physicals.

Academically, Dr. Majhail received his medical degree from Christian Medical College in India. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital Evanston.

A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Among his other roles, Dr. Majhail is affiliated with Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center and Banner Boswell Medical Center.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
