Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Peter Joseph Saccone, who serves patients in New Jersey.

With years of experience in his field, Dr. Saccone is a pulmonologist who is a part of the team at MedCorps Asthma & Pulmonary. He sees patients at the offices in Sewell and Linwood, New Jersey. 

MedCorps Asthma & Pulmonary consists of a group of health professionals who treat ailments of the lungs and respiratory system such as sleep apnea, asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis, emphysema, COPD, and complicated chest infections. They serve patients at Sewell, Linwood, and Cape May Court House, New Jersey, as well as Maysville, Kentucky. 

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, Dr. Saccone earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. He then went on to complete his residency at the same educational venue, followed by his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. 

With additional training in the field of interventional pulmonology, the doctor’s highly specialized skills allow him to diagnose lung cancer in its earliest stages, offering options, even cures, never before available. He holds hospital privileges at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, New Jersey. 

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.

On a more personal note, Dr. Saccone lives in South Jersey with his wife and daughter. He loves spending his free time with his family. He is also the Medical Director of Underground Martial Arts and Fitness, where he earned a second degree black belt in mixed martial arts.
