Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Dicpinigaitis (or Dr. D), sees patients at his private practice in Lake Success, New York. A firm believer that trust and dedication are the foundations for an excellent patient-practitioner relationship, he has the orthopaedic expertise to allow him to correctly guide patients through important surgical treatment options that can help them to improve their health and mobility.

Utilizing the latest computer and robotic-assisted techniques, Dr. D specializes in various orthopaedic services, including orthopaedic surgery, orthopaedic sports medicine, hip replacement, and knee replacement. He is also fully capable of reconstructive orthopaedic surgery, including full joint replacements and many other procedures, and offers advanced treatments to heal and restore broken bones.

Alongside serving as an attending orthopaedic surgeon at ProHealth Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, he remains affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center, NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center, St. Joseph Hospital, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, Syosset Hospital, and Northwell Health Orthopaedic Institute.

After graduating summa cum laude from Yale University in 1991, Dr. D went on to graduate from the New York Grossman University School of Medicine in 1995. He subsequently did his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases before completing his adult reconstructive (total joint) fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in 2018. He also served 8 years with the United States Air Force, being stationed at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey & Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. 

With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

A strong advocate for an individualized approach to patient care, Dr. D stays updated with the latest advancements in medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. 

Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
