Throughout her academic career, Dr. Washington graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and earned her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in 1992. She completed her internship in general surgery at Boston University Medical Center, followed by her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.
The doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), as well as a member of the American Medical Association and the South Carolina Medical Association.
Embracing a holistic approach to healthcare, Dr. Washington has expanded her practice to include acupuncture. She completed 300 hours of acupuncture training by Dr. Tsun-Nin Lee at the Academy of Pain Institute in San Francisco. She is also certified to offer bioidentical testosterone and estrogen hormone pellet therapy.
