Dr. Christopher Ninh, is at the forefront of orthopedic excellence in Southern California, offering specialized care in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries and total joint replacements, with a focus on direct anterior hip replacement. As a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, he leads a team of top-tier specialists at the Pacific Coast Orthopaedic Institute, dedicated to providing comprehensive orthopedic services to patients in the Irvine, Fountain Valley and Orange county area.

With a commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Ninh serves as the Medical Director of the Orthopedic Institute at Chapman Global Medical Center, while also holding hospital privileges at esteemed institutions including St. Joseph’s Hospital, UC Irvine Fountain Valley Hospital and MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center. 

A native of Orange County, Dr. Ninh graduated from Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California. His vision was to establish an orthopedic surgery practice focusing on sports medicine, inspired from his own personal experience as a young athlete and patient. These experiences were highly influential in his decision to pursue medicine and further provided the inspiration to pursue excellence throughout his education and training.

Dr. Ninh’s academic journey includes earning both his Undergraduate and Medical degrees from the University of California, Irvine, followed by residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, Michigan, and a fellowship in sports medicine at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. 

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Ninh remains actively engaged in the medical community through memberships in professional organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (Fellow – FAAOS), the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Medical Association, and the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Christopher Ninh’s commitment to exceptional patient care has garnered him prestigious accolades, including the Patients’ Choice Award in 2018, 2016, and 2015, Top Doctor Award 2022 and 2024, as well as the Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2014. As a pioneer in the field, he holds numerous patents for orthopedic surgical devices and has published numerous peered-review articles.
