He completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Puerto Rico and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center, further specializing in Electroconvulsive Therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. 

His commitment to continuous education is evident through certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Buprenorphine/Opioid Drugs Maintenance, and Detoxification Addiction, as well as training in Mobile Development and UX from the General Assembly. Additionally, Dr. du Mont holds a Certified Hypnotherapist credential, showcasing his diverse skill set.

At the helm of Nicolas du Mont MD, Dr. du Mont provides comprehensive healthcare digital marketing services, focusing on Apple app development, UX design, and brand strategy. His expertise encompasses customer activation and retention strategies, leveraging analytics, metrics, A/B testing, and search engine optimization (SEO). His extensive experience includes serving as the Medical Director and Psychiatrist at Inwood Community Services since 1999, where he has coordinated psychiatric care across diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds. His previous roles at the Puerto Rican Family Institute in New York City, where he worked from 1994 to 2021, further solidified his dedication to improving mental health services.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. du Mont has made significant contributions to academic psychiatry as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He played a pivotal role in developing Tavares’ Hispanic Mental Health Clinic, expanding it into a comprehensive psychiatric service. His research experience includes motivational interviewing and psychotherapy for Hispanic patients, underscoring his commitment to culturally sensitive care.

Dr. du Mont's dedication extends to the LGBT mental health community, where he served as Membership Chair of the Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists of New York and as an Executive Member of the Board for the Association of Hispanic Mental Health Professionals.
