Specializing in osteopathic manipulative therapy, Dr. Pedowitz is a family practitioner who is affiliated with Family Practice of CentraState with offices in Jackson and East Windsor, New Jersey.

Family Practice of CentraState features board-certified primary care, internal medicine, pediatric, and family medicine doctors in multiple locations throughout central New Jersey, including Monmouth, Mercer, Middlesex, and Ocean counties. With a commitment to health promotion, patients are provided with access to skilled clinicians who focus on disease prevention and intervention.

In his professional experience, Dr. Pedowitz also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at two medical schools in the area. A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, he remains active with the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons & the American Osteopathic Association. 

After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he went on to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri in 1991. This was followed by a residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - School of Osteopathic Medicine, where the doctor served as Chief Resident. 

Family medicine, formerly family practice, is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family practitioner or family doctor. They are expected to treat a wide range of medical conditions, develop long-term, personal relationships with their patients, produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data, and offer continuous support and health management advice. Dr. Pedowitz’s specialty clinical interests include sports medicine, asthma and allergies, back pain, men’s health, and preventive medicine.

When he is not working, he enjoys playing various sports, but mostly enjoys running and biking. Residing in Monmouth County, he also loves spending time with his wife and three boys.
